Space Shuttle Launch as Seen from Space

I'll probably have to take this 1st pic down, because it wasn't taken by me, and unfortunately, I don't know who it was taken by.

But it's the coolest pic I've ever seen of a Space Shuttle launch.

Watching the Space Shuttle launch from outer space is like watching the US presidential election from the Oval Office. You're already there, but that just makes it all the sweeter.

I'm not normally a pic theif, and I'll probably take this one down or try to find out who took it soon and get permission to keep it up on the blog.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one as much as I have.

For those of you who want a little closer shot, here's one taken from the balcony of my parents' 11th story condo on the Indian River -- directly across from Kennedy Space Center.

What you see in the foreground is the Indian River - which is part of the Intercoastal Waterway - and Canaveral National Seashore. CNS is the largest untouched natural seashore in the US.

BTW, the Indian River condo is for sale.
